Austin cosmetic dentist Dr. Juli Powell is a native Austinite. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1986 and then attended the University of North Carolina, where she earned her B.S. in Biology in 1990.
Dental Education
Dr. Powell attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 1990-1994. While studying here, the university was chosen as the Number 1 U.S. Dental School by the deans of the U.S. Dental Schools. It was also recognized by U.S. News and World Reports for a similar honor.
In 1994, Dr. Powell graduated with honors and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Powell has conducted extensive research in the field of dentistry and published articles on her work. She has also presented her research at the American Association for Dental Research Annual Meeting.

Personal
When she is not at work, Dr. Powell enjoys spending time with her husband, Chuck, and their wonderful children, Lily and Matthew. She and her husband (a graduate of Indiana University) enjoy watching college basketball, especially during the NCAA Tournament. Dr. Powell also teaches Sunday School, leads her daughter’s Girl Scout troop as well as her son's Webelos Den, and volunteers at her children's schools.
