What are the benefits of porcelain veneers?

Do you have to remove enamel to place porcelain veneers? Unlike

Porcelain veneering is unlike preparing teeth for crowns. In many
cases a new option called Lumineers can be used which requires little
or no removal of tooth structure and the very thin porcelain shell
is placed directly over the surface of your natural teeth.
Will others be able to tell I have veneers?
Because we use porcelain material to create your veneers, they have
the same translucent and shiny appearance of natural enamel. Your
veneers can be fully customized to match your tooth shade or the
shade you always wanted and are placed to fit so they blend in with
your other teeth.
How many teeth need to be veneered?
Depending on your needs, you may require veneers only on one or
two teeth. If you feel a number of teeth need to be corrected, veneers
can be placed over 8 or more teeth in a row. Your dentist will help
you decide how to design your resulting smile.
How do I take care of my veneers?
Veneers are smooth and durable and can function as normal teeth.
You can eat and drink normally, but as you would for your natural
teeth, be sure to avoid hard candy or damaging habits like nail-biting
and ice crunching to maintain them.
Will my veneers become discolored or decay
over time?
Veneers have the added advantage of resisting staining and discoloration.
They also resist plaque better than natural teeth and are not prone
to decay. You can count on your veneered teeth to be healthy and
bright for a very long time.
How are veneers customized to fit my face?
