Austin Family Dentistry is a digital imaging practice, and uses an iTero Element Intraoral Scanner. The iTero scanner is a cutting edge digital scanning system that takes the place of the uncomfortable alginate impressions that are traditionally used at most practices.

Instead of dealing with the unpleasant putty in your mouth, we simply digitally acquire a 3D model of your teeth and gums. The end result is an efficient and accurate model every time, both quicker and more precise than traditional methods.

We will use the iTero Element Scanner’s wand to capture images of your teeth and gum tissue during the scanning procedure. You can breathe normally, pause to sneeze or cough, or ask a question during the process.

The iTero Element Scanner will provide us with a 3D model of your mouth that we can use with all dental services, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator, which helps you to visualize your future smile!
